Thread: Arclength in Polar Coordinates

Could anyone please help me check the following problem if I have got the right answer. I f not please correct me. (I'd apreciate it also if you show me the algebra in detail) Thanks!

1) Find the arc length of the curve trough integration over the given interval and polar equation:

Polar equation: r= 8(1 + cosθ) Interval: 0 to 2pi

my answer: 512

I desperately need to know if this is right or not. Someone please help!
