# Taylor series technique

Taylor series technique
Hi everyone,
Is there a certain technique or a program for converting Taylor expansion to summation notation form and vice versa. Example: 1 + x + (5/4)x^2 + (7/4)x^3 +...+O(x^4). I am looking for general approach for rewriting expansions like this in sigma notation.

I believe what you,re looking for is a way to find the (n) term of the taylor serie so you can always write it as

$\sum f^{(n)}(x_0)*\frac{(x-x_0)^n}{n!}$

if so, I dont know any program or formula to find the (n) derivate... it's usualy a good cup of coffe and some time (well atleast for me)!
