    Linearly independent elements

    how can i find 3 linearly independent elements of the real vector space R?

    No, because \mathbb{R} is of degree 1 over itself.

    However you can find independent elements (0,0,1) (0,1,0) (1,0,0) these are linearly independent in R^3
