    Basic arithmetic

so im doing this definite integral of trigonometric function

    integrate (2t + cost)dt from the interval -Pi/2 to Pi/2

this is what i got so far and Im not sure how to simplify

    = [(Pi/2)^2 + sin(Pi/2) - (-Pi/2)^2 + sin(-Pi/2)]

    = [(Pi^2/4) + 1) - (Pi/4) + (-1)]

    = [(Pi/4) + 1) - (Pi/4) - (1)]

    Did i do it right??
