    Help with simple Calculus and

    Please explain attached pdf numbers 7 and 8 section B.

    Please do it step by step. I don't understand what to do with square roots


    This is a section of an assignment, it's not for marks and we are given the answers if you don't believe me

    So you have y=x^\frac{1}{2}+5x^{-\frac{1}{2}} on problem 7 and 3x^\frac{1}{2}+x^{-\frac{1}{2}} on problem 8, and you can use the power rule.
