Differentiate with respect to and and set them equal to 0. That will give two equations to solve for and .
Hi guys,
I'm stuck with a simple calculus problem.
I have to maximise wrt to both x 1 and 2 and express x1 in terms of x2.
p.x_{1}^{1/2}x_{2}^{3/4} - (5x_{1} + 10x_{2) }I know this should be quite but I have forgotten all the laws etc I need to use. Apparently the answer should be:
x_{1}^{1/2} = 40/p.x_{2}^{3/4 }
Thanks for any help
