    derivative of algebraic function

    I need to find the derivative of
    f(x) = X^4(1-(2/x+1))

    and I am completely lost.

    multiply out first.

    f(x) = x^4 - \frac {2x^4}{x + 1}

    now use the power rule on the first part and the quotient rule on the second
