
Chain rule problem
Hey everyone, i had a question, well about 5, but im not able to answer them. if you guys help explain the problem below, i should be able to do the rest by myself
find dy/dx if y= (u^2  1) and u = (1 / (x  1))
can you also explain with words so that i can know what is happening

From the chain rule, we have:
$\displaystyle \frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{dy}{du}\cdot\frac{du}{dx}$
Find $\displaystyle \frac{dy}{du}$ and $\displaystyle \frac{du}{dx}$ and plug them into the formula above. Rewrite $\displaystyle u$ in terms of $\displaystyle x$.
