rates of cylinders/derivatives

Water is flowing freely from the bottom of a conical tank which is 12 feet deep and 6 feet in radius at the too. If the water is flowing at the rate of 2 cubic feet per hour, at what rate rate is the depth of the water in the tank going down when the depth is 3 feet.? If you can help me thank you! It is a homework problem.

Re: rates of cylinders/derivatives

It should say top not too....... Sorry

Re: rates of cylinders/derivatives

Begin by identifying what you have been given, what you know about conical solids (relevant to the problem), and what you are being asked to find. Can you state these in mathematical terms?
