    which comes 1st product rule or chain rule?

    the question: y=(2-sqrtx)2(3x+2)4

    what I know: must use combination of chain rule and product rule to get answer

    my problem:
    1. how to get derivative of "sqrtx"
    2. which rule comes 1st b/w chain and product rule

    1. \sqrt{x} = x^{1/2} ... use the power rule

    2. use the chain rule as you proceed with the product rule ...

    \frac{d}{dx} ( u^2 \cdot v^4) = u^2 \cdot 4v^3 \cdot v' + v^4 \cdot 2u \cdot u'
