What is the local linearization of e^x^2 near x = 1? can someone please help me go about this problem... mathaction

Use $\displaystyle f(x) \approx f(a) + f'(a)(x-a) $ So $\displaystyle f(x) = e^{x^2} $ and $\displaystyle f'(x) = 2xe^{x^2} $ $\displaystyle f(1) = e $ and $\displaystyle f'(1) = 2e $ So $\displaystyle f(x) \approx e + 2e(x-1) $
