I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you meant to state: Given: $\displaystyle f(x)=\frac{x+\sqrt{x}}{\sqrt{x}}$ Find: $\displaystyle f'(x)$ How can we simplify $\displaystyle f(x)$ first?
the teacher told us to simply first yes
Hint: $\displaystyle \frac{a+b}{c}=\frac{a}{c}+\frac{b}{c}$.
