Integration by Parts of a secant function
Okay, I'm supposed to do integration by parts with this problem:

∫ sec^n(x) dx

I'm sure how to go about doing this though.

Could someone explain the steps?

See if you can get somewhere with:

$\text{sex}^n(x)=\pm \left[1+\tan ^2(x)\right]^{\frac{n}{2}}$
