Please open the pdf attached I am having extreme difficulty with #2 and #4. Its due tomorrow morning anyone that can show a step by step process would really be saving my life!
I'm afraid you have completely the wrong idea here. We are NOT a homework service. It is against our policy to do work that someone else will be graded on. It is also against our policy to give step by step solutions. You are expected to do your OWN work.
If you show some effort, in other words, post what you have tried here and exactly where you are stuck, we can give you some guidance.
Work for #2
I know eccentricity is (c/a) or (c/b) depending on the axis. I'm not sure but I think c = 5 and b = 3
Using the equation c^2 = a^2 + b^2 I solve for a ; a = 4
Then I think the vertices are (0, 4) ( 0, 5)
And I believe the axis is the X-axis
Not sure how to get center, and asymptotes
Work for #4
Okay I know this is an ellipse cot 2(Phi) = (145 - 180 /120) = ( -7 / 24)
90 degrees < 2(Phi)< 180 degrees
sin(Phi) = sqrt(1-(-7/25) / 2) = (4/5)
cos(Phi) = sqrt(1+(-7/25) / 2) = (3/5)
rotation of axes: x= (3/5)x' + (4/5)y' and y = (4/5)x' + (3/5)y'
Not sure how to get foci, vertices, and equations of all axes and asymptotes.
