and how many asymptotes are there? I am sure there is an asymptote at x=2 and -1. Are there any horizontal aymptotes?
I am unsure if i am correct but please correct me if i am. The following assumptions are made from the graph above.
-The limit as x approaches 2 is positive infinity.
-the limit as x approaches -1 from the negative direction is positive infinity
-the limit as x approaches -1 from the positive direction is negative infinity
-the limit as x approaches negative infinity is 2.
There certainly are. It looks like the function is approaching oscillating around y = 2 as you make x approach -infinity, shouldn't that mean that y = 2 is an asymptote?
Also, on the right the function is approaching y = 1 as you make x approach infinity. Wouldn't that mean that y = 1 is an asymptote?
