I struggle a bit with indices, and am trying to differentiate this - I won't post the whole question, just the little bit I am stuck with. I will actually use a different fraction as well, as I need to know how to do it myself! It is just the theory I am struggling with.
x^9/2
I differentiate this to 9/2x^7/2
Is that correct?
I feel I need to do some shuffling around of the result, to tidy it up a bit and make it easier to work with, but am getting mixed up with square roots and fractions etc.
Advice much appreciated!
Thanks.
