finding cartesian equation of curve

Hello, I am trying to find the cartesian equation of the curve in general form.

The curve is 'y=1-12t'.

I know the final answer is (1-y)^2-24x+48=0 but I only know the first step:

i.e. separate to 't= {1-y} / 12'

I do not know how to proceed.

Can someone show the method for completing this problem.

You have not specified how 'x' depends on 't'.
