# Math Help - Complicated Exponential Integrals

1. ## Complicated Exponential Integrals

A friend has come to me for help finding the integral of:

2/(e(2x3)) with respect to x

I can only see it being integrated as a series? Is there something or some method that i am missing? Tired to do a substitution but you get a mess that cant be removed, thus my thought of a series? I think that if this is the case, then the question is wrong as he is only working through year 1 calc.

Thanks.

If you don't know anything about the incomplete Gamma function, then yes, use a series.

Do you mean 2/e^(2x^3)= 2e^(-2x^3)? If so, that cannot be integrated in terms of elementary functions.
