Most of the standard calculators give upto 10 digits in their display. So it would be
13! = 6227020800 and
14! = 8.71782912 × 10^10

I love Wolframalpha but for this question I would use a calculator because the question was about what a calculator can do.

In a few seconds you can find that a pretty standard calculator can display all the digits of 13! but cannot display all the digits of 14!.

I ask again. Why use a calculator.
Students are slowly finding WolframAlpha.
There Wolfram apps for all mobile devices.
I use it on an Android tablet. My son uses it on an IPad.

Well,in India they don't allow Internet during exams but a simple non-programmable calculator is allowed!

Well that will change. When I was a department chair I had a young professor denied tenure because he would not allow Internet at all in any of his classes. The students simply stopped signing up for any of his classes.

Yes it might change. But,I am a student and personally don't think there is need for students to have internet access during classes. It's kind of irritating for the lecturer if the students aren't paying attention to his words and rather surfing some social networking site.

The whole point is that in the classroom of the future there will be no lectures.
In fact, I think there will be no classrooms.
