# Math Help - differentiate

1. ## differentiate

how do you find dy/dx for: x^2 - 3lny+y^2=10

2. Sheven, it is in our book I will show you tomorrow. p. 322 #73
The answer is in the back since it is odd.
I have several of the other answers. They are all somewhere in the book so if Frankenstein's otebook is there we can look them up.

Use implicit diffrenciation,
$2x-\frac{3}{y}\frac{dy}{dx}+2y\frac{dy}{dx}=0$
Thus,
$\frac{dy}{dx}\left(2y-\frac{3}{y}\right)=-2x$
Thus,
$\frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{2x}{\frac{3}{y}-2y}$Thus,
$\frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{2xy}{3-2y^2}$
