Math Help - Why does log10^3x equal 3x?

    Why does log10^3x equal 3x?

    That's what my textbook says, that it equals 3x, but it doesn't give an explanation why. Can someone explain what's up here?

    \log_{a} a^n=n\cdot \log_{a} a=n \cdot 1=n
