# Math Help - How do you calculate this area?

1. ## How do you calculate this area?

How can you calculate the area of this set?
(x,y) ∈ R²
0 <= x <= pi number
0 <= y <= 1/2
0 <= y <= sinx

Do you formulate an equation and calculate the integral? How do you do it?

You draw a picture, and then when you have identified the required area you decompose it into elements that you either know the area of or can find the area by using an elementary integral

3. ## Re: How do you calculate this area?

Is my solution correct?

4. ## Re: How do you calculate this area?

Since when is \displaystyle \begin{align*} \frac{11\pi}{6} < \pi \end{align*}?

5. ## Re: How do you calculate this area?
