you can use derive for example

derive x^2 + y^2 , y = f(x)

Can you make it give the derivative of (2(x+y)) / (e^y -2(x+y)) ?

Have you

**tried**doing what Amer suggested? Though I would use ", y= y(x)" rather than ", y= f(x)". - December 1st 2011, 06:27 AMStuck ManRe: Wolfram
That has helped, thanks.
