Tricky Maximum and Minimum Values Question

    Hi All,

I'm struggling with this one Maximum and Minimum question. I can't figure out how to factor it. The question is 4 x^3 (x-1)^3+3 x^2 (x-1)^4
Sorry LaTex is working for me so here is a picture for clarification:

    Thanks for your help!

Re: Tricky Maximum and Minimum Values Question

Take out a common factor of x^2, and then take out a common factor of (x-1)^3

    4 x^3 (x-1)^3+3 x^2 (x-1)^4

    =x^2[4x(x-1)^3+3(x-1)^4]

    =x^2(x-1)^3(\cdots)

    Try to finish.
