Hi All,
I'm struggling with this one Maximum and Minimum question. I can't figure out how to factor it. The question is 4 x^3 (x-1)^3+3 x^2 (x-1)^4
Sorry LaTex is working for me so here is a picture for clarification:
Thanks for your help!

Take out a common factor of $\displaystyle x^2$, and then take out a common factor of $\displaystyle (x-1)^3$
$\displaystyle 4 x^3 (x-1)^3+3 x^2 (x-1)^4$
$\displaystyle =x^2[4x(x-1)^3+3(x-1)^4]$
$\displaystyle =x^2(x-1)^3(\cdots)$
Try to finish.
