    Calculating Limits

I'm having trouble finding the solution for the lim as x-> 0-.

    Calculate:

    and
    ?

I understand the right-hand limit, but the left-hand limit keeps stumping me. I thought it should be -4, but it apparently it is not. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for the help in advance.

    Hint if x\to 0^+ you can replace |4x| \mbox{ by }4x.

And if x\to 0^- you replace it by -4x.

Bah! I hate putting solutions into online programs! For some reason, it said the limit as x->0+ was 4 which totally threw me out. Thanks a lot for the help!
