1. ## volume integral

Hi everyone,

Find the area under the curve:

4x+y squared=12
y=x
(-6,-6) (2,2)

I solved for x and got -1/4y squared+3

I then solved the integral -6 to 2 -1/4y squared+3-ydy

Once I plugged in my values I got a negative value.

5/3-18+6+1

but it can't be a negative area

"Find the area under the curve:

4x+y squared=12
y=x
(-6,-6) (2,2) "
mean??

Are you again trying to find the area between two curves?
