these questions are slightly modified, they aren't the same question as the ones I need to do. I would just like to see these examples
1. Complete the square then make a substitution.

2. Use a trigonometric substitution.

Are you sure the third one isn't $\displaystyle \int{\frac{\tan^{-1}{x}}{1 + x^2}\,dx}$?
