    Question on manipulating a series

Can somebody tell me if this is correct?

    \sum (a_nb_n) = \sum a_n \cdot \sum b_n

Just wondering as this would make evaluating convergence/divergence easier in some cases, but I suspect that this isn't necessarily correct.

    Thanks.

    Is 1*3 + 2*5 + 8* 4 equal to (1+2+8)∙(3*5*4) ?
