Hi, I'm having a difficulity with my homework, how do I: Differentiate: 2/x^2 Differentiate: √x^5 Expand: (x+ 2/x)^2 Can anybody help please? Many Thanks

$\displaystyle \displaystyle \frac{2}{x^2}=2x^{-2}$ $\displaystyle \displaystyle\sqrt{x^5}=x^{\frac{5}{2}}$ $\displaystyle \displaystyle \left(x+\frac{2}{x}\right)^2=x^2+4+4x^{-2}$ In all cases use $\displaystyle (x^a)'=ax^{a-1}$
