Is it possible to solve any of these equations?

$x = A[1-\cos (\omega t)]-\frac{Bt^{2}}{2}$
(Find t(x))

$A\cos (2\tau )-B(\cos \tau -\tau \sin \tau )=0$
(Find $\tau$ )

The Taylor Series expansion of cos(wt) may produce acceptable results.

Numerica methods, given specific values of A and B, certainly would produce acceptable results.

Yes, I don't have numerical values for A and B, but since $\omega t$ is between 0 and pi/2 I think the Taylor expansion is a good one.
