    Derivative's Equations

    Hello everyone, I am currently stuck on this six part question. I understand that my request is lengthy but I would truly appreciate if someone could show me the solution to these problems or at least help me get started on the first part.

    If \displaystyle f(x) = ax^n

    then \displaystyle f'(x) = anx^{n-1}

    Thanks for the reply pickslides.

    So for part a) would the derivative of f(x) "with respect to x" be \displaystyle f'(x) = 2ax+b ?
