    HOw do they come up with this special number e?

    Who is this "they"

    There are lots of places where e arises naturaly in maths. Which is the
    simpliset to explain depends on what background you have, calculus would
    be usefull.

    For instance, when you look at exponetial graph, they have a base of e.
    how did it come up with this special base e?
