    L'Hospitals Rule

    So I decided to take Calc II as a freshman since I allready had Calc I as college credit via my high school. I now believe this was a mistake, but too late now! Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could give me a general list of derivative. For example (5^t)' = ln5 * 5^t. A list like that would help me greatly... I just can't seem to remember things like this at all. Thanks.

    And I also realize this thread doesnt actually deal directly with L'Hospitals rule except that you use derivatives in it, so sorry for any mis-leading information.

    5^t = e^{\ln 5 \cdot t}

    Now use Chain Rule.

    limx → 0+ (1 + x )1/(4x)

    Okay, this is the first problem on my assignment. Could anyone try and walk me through it? I think after I have the basic concept down I should be good. Sorry for the retardation on my part.
