    Simple integration problem

    Firstly sorry for the thread title, please suggest a something better if you can...



    I have this very simple (looking) integration problem that I just cant seem to fathom.

    Any of the rules/methods that I can think of using dont seem to fit this problem e.g. substitution, partial fractions or parts

    2(x-2)/(x-1)

    Write it as:

    2\displaystyle\int(\frac{x-1}{x-1}-\frac{1}{x-1}) dx
