Thread: finding the formula for a sequence of numbers

the sequence
N(1)=1
N(2)=3
N(3)=5
N(4)=10
N(5)=19

N(6)=?
also need the formula

so can any 1 help me figure out how to solve this?

It looks like the fibonacci numbers plus 2^n:

(0,1,1,2,3,5,8,...)+(1,2,4,8,16,32,64,...)=(1,3,5, 10,19,37,72,...)
