Units for capacitor charging AUC from definite integrals
Probably more an electronics related query than calc but maybe someone can help...I've got two curves plotted from the equations for charging and discharging a capacitor, both are exponential. Integrating the equations obviously gives me the area under each curve for a given time period. The curves plotted from the equations is time on the x axis and voltage across the capacitor on the y axis. What units is the AUC measured in? I blunderingly assumed volts/sec but that's the derivative not a cumulative total, and I don't think the energy (Joules) or charge (Coulombs) is applicable without the current, which isn't involved in the equation.
My usual go-to guy (Google) doesn't seem to know. Any of the many switched on folk here got any ideas?
