    applying fourier to real numbers

    hi
am new to this forum and may be am posting in the wrong section and even my topic is strange
but i have a real problem in applying fourier series on real numbers
i know that u don't do homeworks for others but this is not a homework (i finished study since 2002) and in this days facing a problem in applying fourier series on a real case as shown in the attached pic

if any one here is kindly show me how to do that or even plot this data in a sine cosine curve it will help me very much
i need the procedures so that i can learn ......by the way i'v searched the web and read about fourier series but because am not good in math i didnt understand so i decide to ask for help here

What are you trying to do? That is why do you want/need a trigonometric representation of this data?

    hi
    thanks for ur replay CaptainBlack
the data is from a production line in a factory during a specific time
am traying to find or figure if thier is any harmonic or time series (cycle)
in the production quantities...if i want to plot the pure data as in the attached pic using the chart wizard in excel the chart will be random and not harmonized ...so am thinking in using fourier series or sine /cosine curve to plot that data, this is the first reason.
the second reason is that am having some curiosity and like to know more about this things(fourier series and sine/cosine curve) and how to plot it

    hope to fined a help

by the way.. my data is not negative ,positive,negative,positive.....etc
is that matter? and if that matter we can changn the data to be megative .positive . negative .........and that what i prefer
