Is there a simple way to derive a Hermite interpolation function starting from the Lagrange form.
e.g. Suppose we know $\displaystyle f_0, f_1, f'_0, f'_1$ and we want to interpolate between $\displaystyle x_0$ and $\displaystyle x_1$.

I thought of setting up the Lagrange form for x_0, x_1, x_2, x_3, and letting x_2 -> x_0 and x_3 -> x_1, but that doesn't seem to work out.

Any help?
