    Derviatives confuse me :(

    How do I find the derivative of X^(3/4) I have used a program to look but I don't understand these things -- can anyone help me? I will make it up to you

    You can use the power rule: f(x)=x^n so f'(x)=nx^{n-1}.

    Here your n=\frac{3}{4} so you have \frac{3}{4}x^{\frac{3}{4}-1} which is \frac{3}{4}x^{\frac{-1}{4}}.

    This can be simplified to \frac{3}{4x^{\frac{1}{4}}} or \frac{3}{4\sqrt[4]{x}}.
