    Vector Help

    The problem is:

    The unit vector that makes an angle [(2)(Pi)]/3 with the positive x-axis and it asks to find the component form of the vector.

    I don't even know where to start. Any help would be great. Thanks.

    We have the polar coordinates r=1,\phi =120 and we need the cartesian coordinates x,y.
    x=r\cos\phi =-\frac{1}{2}
    y=r\sin\phi =\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}
    So \displaystyle \overrightarrow{v}=-\frac{1}{2}\overrightarrow{i}+\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}\o  verrightarrow{j}
