1. ## Vector Help

The problem is:

The unit vector that makes an angle [(2)(Pi)]/3 with the positive x-axis and it asks to find the component form of the vector.

I don't even know where to start. Any help would be great. Thanks.

2. We have the polar coordinates $r=1,\phi =120$ and we need the cartesian coordinates $x,y$.
$x=r\cos\phi =-\frac{1}{2}$
$y=r\sin\phi =\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}$
So $\displaystyle \overrightarrow{v}=-\frac{1}{2}\overrightarrow{i}+\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}\o verrightarrow{j}$
