    How do you find min/max and intercepts of a function?

    How do you find the minimum/maximum values, x and y intercept for one cycle of the function?

    F(x)=cos2x-cos3x

    Take the derivative, set it equal to zero, and solve for x. This will give you all of your max and min points. To find the x intercepts for a single cycle, set the original equation equal to 0, solve for x, and only accept answers between [0, 2*pi].
