Please, can anybody help me on this function: also sketch the graph

y^2(x^2 -1) = x + 2

thank you so much

Please, can anybody help me on this function: also sketch the graph

y^2(x^2 -1) = x + 2

thank you so much - Dec 9th 2010, 02:59 AMProve It
$\displaystyle \displaystyle x$ intercept(s) - make $\displaystyle \displaystyle y = 0$, simplify and solve for $\displaystyle \displaystyle x$.

$\displaystyle \displaystyle y$ intercept(s) - make $\displaystyle \displaystyle x=0$, simplify and solve for $\displaystyle \displaystyle y$.

For the asymptotes, write $\displaystyle \displaystyle y$ in terms of $\displaystyle \displaystyle x$ to determine the natural domain. The range and asymptotes should follow.
