Thread: Solving equations iteratively (Newton-Raphson etc.)

Please help me solving the problems listed below with proper steps.........Help will b appreciated.


1 ) Solve the equation x^4 - x - 10 = 0 by Newton - Raphson Method, correct to 3 decimal places, starting with x = 2.


2 ) Use any iterative method to solve :

f(x) = cos x + sin x = 0
