Hi, im new in algebra, but got this question.
solve
log4 (x+4) -2log4 (x+1)=1/2

From one of the first rules i see that

log4 (x+4)/((x+1)^2)=1/2

Then what do I do?;p

There was a rule even before the one you mentioned.
