Math Help - Newton's Method

1. Newton's Method

Use Newton's method to approximate the indicated root of the equation correct to six decimal places.

x^4+x-4=0, [1,2]

Okay, so the answer I got for this was 1.283764, however I don't believe that is correct. Newton's method is straightforward enough, so I'm assuming I plugged something in wrong or make a careless error...

Your answer for the positive root is very accurate!

To 6 decimal places "of accuracy", it's 1.283782,

maybe that's the problem.
