    y = square root (8 + 7x)

    find dy/dx

    By chain rule:

    1/2 (8+7x)^(-1/2) * (7)

    Make sure to write the derivative using the same notation the original function is given.

    Since it is given using radicals, write the derivative using radicals as well.

    y = \sqrt{8 + 7x}

    \frac{dy}{dx} = \frac{7}{2\sqrt{8 + 7x}}.
