can anyone shows me why d(a^x)/(dx) = In(a)a^x and d(a^-x)/(dx) = -In(a)a^-x ?? Thanks!

$\displaystyle \frac{da^{x}}{dx}=\frac{de^{\ln(a)x}}{dx}=\ln(a)e^ {\ln(a)x}=\ln(a)a^{x}$ By the way is it derivitave or integral?
