    differential calculus-any help appreciated

    find expressions for dy/du, and du/dx, then use the chain rule to find dy/du in terms of x.
    y=e^5u u=x^3 + 1

    1. dy/du= 2. du/dx= 3.dy/dx=

    two others:

    4. find dy/dt
    y=6e^2tln(squareroot3t)

    5. Dxf(x)
    f(x)=x^2 +2/x-1

    5. Dxf(x)
    f(x)=x^2 +2/x-1
    what does Dxf(x) mean?

    do you mean f(x)=x^2 +2/(x-1)

    or

    f(x)=x^2 +(2/x)-1

    ??

    use parenthesis please

    and the Dx just means the derivative with respect to x? i see that notation all over the place, i need to know what it means here

    ok, since i'm getting no response, i'll assume that you mean the derivative with respect to x when you say Dx, so here
