    exponential functions

    f(x) = e^-1/(2x)
    f(x) = e^-1/(2x)*(-1/2)
    f'(x) = -1/2e^1/2x

    is that correct?

    Hello, startingover!

    f(x) .= .e^-1/(2x)

    f'(x) .= .e^-1/(2x)(-1/2) ?

    f'(x) .= .-1/2e^1/2x

    is that correct? . . . . no
    The exponent is: .-1/(2x) .= .- x^{-1}

    Its derivative is: . x^{-2} .= .1/(2x)
