    determine the rate of change!

using the chain rule, to determine the rate of change of f in terms of time t along the path given at time t by x(t) = (1 + t^2)^1/2 , y(t) = -t

    Many Thanks

    Find (dx/dt) and (dy/dt)

    Then f'(t) = sqrt[(dx/dt)^2 + (dy/dt)^2]
